The majority of us at PacaPod are parents and as parents we know how important it is to lead by example.
There is nothing more important to us than showing our children the best examples of moral behaviour and honesty in all that we do (sometimes we make mistakes) but again the best form of parenting is to admit our mistakes, learn from them and not to make them again.
We carry this principle through everything we do in the business, and over time have formed strong relationships with the people we work from our warehouse, to our factories the people within these businesses have become our partners who share the same values and integrity and ensure that this is also carried though their businesses to.
Like most bag companies, we do not make our own products, nor do we own the factories. We design, develop, test, re-design and market PacaPod bags. These are our areas of strength. We pay other companies to produce the fabrics and do the actual cutting and sewing. We chose companies that have the technical expertise and equipment to do this.
We try to work with factories that share our values of integrity and environmentalism. We demand high quality and the close relationships with the factories we do business with pretty much assured it. We do business with some of the world’s best factories and PacaPod’s are produced alongside some of the best known premium brands in the world.
The factories that we work with are efficient and well run. The people who worked in them tend to have a lot of experience. Despite high employee turnover elsewhere in the factories, these factories are able to retain employees because they paid them fairly and treat them humanely.
Our products are tested to some of the highest standards in the world, beyond what is required by law because we believe there is nothing more precious than your babies bare skin and the mat it sits on when being changed and food that you put in it’s body. The inner lining of our cool bag is tested to the same degree as a dummy that a baby would have continuously in it’s mouth for months (and in some cases years!).
We aim to reduce are carbon footprint as a business by as much as we possibly can, we never fly goods in (even if we are under pressure from our suppliers to meet the ever increasing demand for PacaPod quicker and quicker). We are sorry if sometimes you may have to wait for your PacaPod but you can rest assured that it has travelled in the least environmentally impactful form a transport of all – on the ocean…..
